Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your Innesto account and all associated cloud data at any time. This section explains exactly what happens and how to start the process.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to support@innesto.app from the same email address you used to sign in to Innesto.
- Use the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
- We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 7 days.
What gets deleted
When we process your request, the following data is permanently removed from our servers (Cloudflare D1 and related infrastructure):
- Your account record (OAuth identifier, email address, display name)
- Synced vocabulary items, saved articles, and review history
- Subscription entitlement mapping held by RevenueCat for your user ID
- Authentication session records
What is retained, and for how long
A small amount of data must be retained for legal, tax, and fraud-prevention reasons:
- Purchase and subscription transaction records: retained for up to 7 years, as required by tax and consumer-protection law. These records are held by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat, not directly by Innesto.
- Aggregated, non-identifying server logs: retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, then automatically purged.
Local data on your device
Innesto is local-first. Vocabulary and review data stored on your device are not affected by this server-side deletion. To remove them, uninstall the app or clear the app's data from your device settings.
Cancelling your subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel it through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) before requesting deletion, or it will continue to renew until you do.
