1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Innesto ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Innesto is a language learning reader app that allows you to read foreign-language articles, translate words and phrases, save vocabulary, and review them through spaced repetition. The App offers:

• Free tier: Article reading, device-based translation, vocabulary saving, and FSRS-based flashcard review. All features run locally on your device.
• Premium tier: LLM-powered detailed explanations, active learning exercises, cloud sync, and multi-device access. Requires a paid subscription.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

4. User Accounts

Core features do not require an account. Premium features require authentication via OAuth (Google or Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

5.1 Third-Party Content

The App displays web content from third-party websites via an in-app browser. Innesto does not own, host, or redistribute this content. You are responsible for ensuring your use of third-party content complies with applicable laws and the respective website's terms of service.

5.2 Your Data

Vocabulary, translations, and review data you create within the App remain yours. If you use cloud sync (Premium), we store this data on our servers solely to provide the sync service.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or services
• Commercially exploit the App or its content without permission

7. Subscriptions and Payments

7.1 Premium Subscription

Premium features are available through in-app purchases via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the current billing period.

7.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Play Store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

7.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy of translations or LLM-generated content
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• That the App will meet your specific learning requirements

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Innesto and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Premium services if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device. Cloud-synced data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
